This one was brought in by Irina Rasputina. She drew attention to the fact that 'babuatsvera' - dandelion - is likely to contain the word 'sphere'.
Looks like it does indeed, but the whole story is even more exciting.
Dandelion is indeed a sphere. But 'tsvera' in Georgian means 'beard', not 'sphere'. Quite vice versa, it means something sharp-pointed. So, dandelion in Georgian is 'granddad's beard'.
But Greeks upon hearing the word 'babuatsvera' and keeping in mind the round form of dandelion, decided that the word depicts roundness of dandelion, and started to call all the round objects with the word 'tsvera' which later turned into 'sphaira', which is considered to be of unknown origin:

Isn't it amazing? Once again, Greeks borrowed a Kartvelian word without even knowing the meaning!
