GELANDRI

The third Dnipro rapid, according to Konstantine Porphyrogenitus, had a name of 'Gelandri'. In Kartvelian 'geli' is 'wolf', while 'anter' in Megrelian is 'man'. So, 'gelandri' is a kind of werewolf. It's important since the Herodotus' tribe of 'Nevri', located up the Dnipro, had an ability to turn into wolves.
