SICILY

The name has been spelled more than once as 'Siculia' throught history (Diodorus Siculus, for example), which enables us to suspect the Georgian adjective 'sikuli' (სიქული), derived from 'sika' (სიქა). This word translates as 'strength', making 'sikuli' meaning simply 'strong'.
