PELASGI vs. PELESET

Not directly a Kartvelian finding, but something that might shed light onto one of the biggest history's mysteries through the prism of Kartvelian language.

Today we are going to get convinced that the pre-Greek nation of Greece - Pelasgi - and ancient dwellers of Palestina - Peleset (as known by Egyptians) are likely to be the same people.

PELESET is highly likely to be პელესეთი - 'land of Pelesi'. The root is PELES.

PELASGI are likely to have a missing vowel betwee S and G, since the SG-combination doesn't look natural. The missing letter is obviously A - 'Pelasag' (compare to Ossetian SOMIHAG - 'Armenian'). The AG-suffix is quite widespread in both Indoeuropean and Kartvelian words. This leaves us with the root PELAS.

Thus, we end up having two roots - PELES and PELAS, which are highly likely to be the same thing. And, given the knowledge that we already have about pre-Greek Greece and ancient Middle East, both were Kartvelian-speaking.

  2. Frankly, I don't know. I have a degree in Economics, and I just read your blog and some history books on my free time

you were saying in one of your article

    LAKEDAIMONA

and I just thought for a moment ლეკი დაიმონა or რა ქედი დაიმონა.

if we take ლეკი დაიმონა, for example, it would mean "(someone) has subjugated leki " while ლეკი is a name of Lezgi ლეზგი people

but I don't know if Lezgi is connected to Pelazgi in any way
