Good one!
Look I found another Midian tribe called Mardi and I compare to მარდი - swift.
Perfect!
Midi, Mede itself sounds like მიდი or 'go ahead' and მიდიან - '(they) are leaving', but where ?maybe it is really someway connected to Colchis or Medea, because as Herodotus says Medes were called Arian by all, but changed their name to Medes after Medea visited them from Greece.
I want to make a comment on Hittites.Hittites - ხეთები, ხეთა, ხეთიკა-ხეთიკოლ-ხეთიკუ-ხეთიჯავა-ხეთიმეს-ხეთიხეთი is the name of Hittites, ხე means a wood, or a tree.Hittites have perfected a war chariot. (Woodworking).Pre-Hittite people were called HurrianHurri -ხურო ხურო means a woodworker
Excellent. Except for one thing: we have no reliable sources proving that Hittites ever existed. We need proofs.

Don't forget that in Ancient Greek ypsilon (Y) rendered [u] sound, not [i].
