MSHATKA

That is an old name of a Crimean resort which today is called Sanatornoye. The 1794 sources give us the third version - Pshatka. From here we can derive Kartvelian toponym PSHAT (PSHETI, ფშეთი). Its root is PSHA (ფშა) which in Kartvelian means 'a water spring'.

Why would they call the place SANATORNOYE? Exactly for the springs of mineral water there:

"...The main natural healing factor is... sulphate-hydrocarbonate mineral water...":

Any questions about Kartvelian toponym Psheti in Crimea?
