KARPATI / КАРПАТИ

The word 'Karpati' translates from Laz language perfectly and literally as 'land of karpi' (remember that Laz '-ati' corresponds to Kartvelian '-eti'), while Karpiani (-ani is a suffix) is a nation registered by Ptolemy exactly in Carpathian region:
