SAVDARATI

Here is a fragment of the 'Protogenes Decree':

«...the deserters informed that Galates and Scirii formed a union and gathered big forces, which will come in winter. Besides, Phisamiti, Scythians and Savdarati are looking for a fortified place being afraid of Galates´cruelty...» «Chrestomathy on Ancient World's History» edit. V. V. First of all, let's mention once again, that Galates are no 'Galates', but just Gauls. While 'Galati' is 'land of Gauls' in Kartvelian.

But the main focus in this excerpt should be on Savdarati tribe. Again, it's not a name of a tribe, but of a country according to the rules of Kartvelian morphology.

We again witness here the well-known Kartvelian toponymic tautological structure with both 'Sa-'-prefix and '-at'-suffix. The latter is the Zan, which is, Megrelian & Laz, equivalent to the Kartvelian '-et'-suffix, according to Klimov and, deeper, Marr. Such tautological constructions are typical for Georgian language: Saprangeti (France) and Saberdzneti (Greece).

This time it's Savdareti tat leads us to the root 'avdari' (ავდარი). It had been already mentioned within BETWEEN TWO IBERIAS research project and translates as 'bad weather' (Margalitadze), while 'Savdareti', thus, impeccably translates as 'bad weather country'.
