Without the nominative case ending the word looks BYZANTI, from which there is a tiny step to BYZANETI, or, upsilon-consciously, BUZANETI. A very solid Kartvelian toponym with buzani as a root.
The word buzani exists in Rayfield's dictionary as Rachian 'heavy load'. A 'country of heavy load'? Can it be? What heavy load? A 'country of burden'? Besides, buzani may have relation to buza (ბუზა), which is a kind of wine-like drink.
Well, a good version to keep in mind for further consideration.
