AVAR

The word consists of AVI + AR, a Kartvelian root meaning BAD, EVIL and a Svan suffix meaning 'place of''. Hence, AVAR = 'place of the bad, evil'. Avars were a very bad nation, sometimes idientical to Scythians, that left adjectives 'avaro', 'avaricious'. In Russia known as 'obri' who used to cultivate land using Russian people instead of the bulls.
