GRANADA / GRENADE
Spanish Granada (formerly Garnata) in French is Grenade. If it makes sense, then the former name is not Garnata but Gernata which brings us to the gerni, the old plural form of geri (wolf in Megrelian). Accordingly, Gernata - ღერნათი - "land of wolves". Granada and the mountains around it have long been the residence of lobo Iberico - Iberian wolf.
